The idea for the toy was a result of experimenting with a small LCD panel given to me by a friend. I discovered that very little was needed in order to activate the display on the screen. In fact two people with enough potential difference between them can cause a display of patterns just by touching the LCD with their fingers. The toy takes advantage of this by simply creating an 'interface' of wires that contacts the LCD; this allows two people to collaborate in a pattern making game(as the panel will not display with only one person touching it).
