This painting is based on the old Chinese pictogram for 'street'. The Chinese text written on the upper right corner of the painting is the definition for the character 'street', quoted from a Chinese dictionary. The general definition is: "Street, a four way path, where things come and go." After this painting I completed several computer animations on the theme of streets and traffic.
