Just after the traffic lights turn from yellow to red on one street, there is a brief moment before the lights on the other street turns green. It is at this short transitional period that the traffic lights on all sides are red. Even on the busiest streets all the cars are stopped, everyone is waiting and everything is quiet. I enjoy being in the intersection at that moment, so I created this painting to try and hold that moment forever in stasis.
