The
conceptual space project is the second part of creating conceptual
3-D models (the first part being conceptual objects). My concern
is to construct 3-D environments that are physically impossible
but can only exists in the computer. I am interested in how
people build 'mental maps' as they explore a virtual space.
In these conceptual spaces I want the user to be unable to create
a single map; they must continually 'update' their mental map
as they change their point of view. Similar to the conceptual
objects, I hope these conceptual spaces will introduce new ways
to think about space in the virtual computer environment.
