In the "Mikrokosmos" animations, I am attempting to find an alternative relationship between audio and visual in computer graphics. In film, audio and visual are in a parallel relationsihp. In this animation however, I'm experimenting with a 'reactive' relationship where sound and visuals interact with each other in time. I have chosen Bela Bartok's Mikrokosmos as the audio because in this piece of music one melody is being echoed and imitated continuously. Instead of having the music echo itself, I created visuals that reacts by imitating the music. Created using OpenGL with C programming.
